Hace unos años con mi familia fuimos de viaje a Nueva York, contratando vía internet un #apartamento para una estancia de 7 días (incluyendo el viaje), mediante una #página web de #viajes.
Una vez examinadas la página y las #fotografías del #apartamento, nos gustó e hicimos el desembolso requerido. Incluso hablamos por teléfono con el agente inmobiliario gestor de este apartamento. Hasta que no hicimos el desembolso del alquiler no nos dijeron el número de la calle donde estaba dicho apartamento, que era el mismo sitio donde teníamos que esperar para que viniera el #agente #inmobiliario y nos diera la llave.
Cuando llegamos frente al número indicado nos encontramos con la sorpresa de que era un local pequeño en un edificio de apenas tres plantas y que resultaba ser local comercial y oficinas. Y cuando preguntamos por el apartamento, no tenían ni idea de lo que estábamos hablando.
Nos pusimos en contacto con el agente y éste tardó en contestar y casi una hora en llegar. Durante esta hora, la sensación de #estafa estuvo presente entre nosotros. Lógicamente el apartamento al que estábamos destinados no tenía ninguna relación con el que se indicaba en la foto de la página de viajes. Estaba 4 calles más al sur y más apartado de las avenidas principales de la ciudad y tenía algunos #defectos de #funcionamiento en los #servicios.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK!, experience of a trip and stay in a flat.
A few years ago with my family we went on a trip to New York, hiring via internet an #apartment for a 7 day stay (including the trip), through a #travel #website.
After examining the website and the #photographs of the #flat, we liked it and made the required payment. We even spoke to the real estate agent managing this flat on the phone. It wasn’t until we paid the rent that they told us the number of the street where the flat was located, which was the same place where we had to wait for the #real estate #agent to come and give us the key.
When we arrived in front of the indicated number, we were surprised to find that it was a small place in a building with only three floors and that it turned out to be commercial premises and offices. And when we asked about the flat, they had no idea what we were talking about.
We got in touch with the agent and it took almost an hour to get an answer and almost an hour to arrive. During this hour, the feeling of #scam was present among us. Logically, the flat we were destined for bore no relation to the one shown in the photo on the travel page. It was 4 streets further south and further away from the main avenues of the city and had some #service #malfunctions.
